World War I is veiled in mystery for many Americans as our involvement in Europe lasted a mere 19 months before the Armistice. That was not so for the citizens of The Bronx. Join Vivian Davis as she talks about the role Van Cortlandt Park played as a bustling training facility for the New York National Guard and the United States Army leading up to America’s entry into The Great War.
